Zamieszkuje j\u0105 133,6 tys. os\u00f3b (2004), czyli oko\u0142o 96% ludno\u015bci ca\u0142ego kraju.<\/p>\n<p>W p\u00f3\u0142nocno-wschodniej cz\u0119\u015bci Wyspy \u015awi\u0119tego Tomasza znajduje si\u0119 stolica kraju S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9. Inne wa\u017cne miejscowo\u015bci na wyspie to: Santo Amaro, Santana, Neves (wa\u017cny port morski) i Trindade.<\/p>\n<p>Wn\u0119trze wyspy jest g\u00f3rzyste, z najwy\u017cszym szczytem Pico de S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 wznosz\u0105cym si\u0119 na wysoko\u015b\u0107 2024 m n.p.m., i poro\u015bni\u0119te lasem (Park Narodowy Obo). Wa\u017cn\u0105 rol\u0119 odgrywa rolnictwo, kt\u00f3re uprawia si\u0119 na p\u00f3\u0142nocnym i wschodnim wybrze\u017cu.
