Wyspa ma 30 km d\u0142ugo\u015bci i 12 km szeroko\u015bci. Jest zamieszkana przez 14 816 mieszka\u0144c\u00f3w.<\/p>\n<p>Wyspa zosta\u0142a odkryta 3 grudnia 1460 i zosta\u0142a nazwana Llana. Dopiero odkrycie soli przynios\u0142o jej obecn\u0105 nazw\u0119 (port.Sal &#8211; s\u00f3l).
